I had not heard of Michael Tsarion before finding this video on Google Video. Before watching the video I looked over the various sites he runs or has information by or about him. While plenty of his conclusions I don’t personally agree with, the general themes and concepts reflect many of things I have learnt over the years.
Primarily the video The Future of Mankind is a psychological exploration of the current state of mankind’s psyche. Tsarion contends that between 50,000 and 30,000 years ago there was a major trauma to the human psyche. He suggests that this was from Alien manipulation, however his descriptions also fit with the Qabalistic concept of the “Fall of Man” where the Garden of Eden (reflecting the psyche – or spiritual – state of man) is depicted as being out of balance. The purpose therefore of esoteric training being the reattainment of the state before the fall – a reaching of an inner utopia. The reason for this split within the psyche isn’t as important as the observed evidence that this has happened. The apprehension of the split as being “alien” is correct on the level of it being a new and foreign (misunderstood) change and split. Perhaps an analogy is HP Lovecraft’s story of The Outsider.
Tsarion offers plenty of evidence of the psychological trauma that is holding back and limiting the advancement of humankind. Drawing from both religious and psychological traditions and individuals he outlines a very detailed analysis of our psychological state and potential. He makes some very important points and observations, including the role of rebellion in our society and belief structures, and the roles of the Self and Ego in human experience. Tsarion’s comments on the role of the Teacher are extremely relevant to anyone interested in occult training.
The themes I vary in agreement on are the more conspiratorial ones. Tsarion makes mention of various conspiracies, sometimes leading back to the Freemasons, as well as various conspiracies linking the British Royal Family and the US Government. I can take or leave this. From my own explorations and observations I don’t see any real conscious conspiracy. Following on from the psychological functions of the Shadow and the Collective Unconscious, then to me it makes more sense that the Shadow current and “conspiracy” is an unconscious Collective Shadow. While individuals share similar psychological “traumas” which are similar or interconnected, then via the collective Shadow of societies and groups similar themes, symbols, and actions are going to come about, time and time again, until the individuals within these groups and societies become aware of them. Consider the quote by Carl Jung: “When an inner situation is not made conscious, it appears outside as fate.” Likewise, in the dimension of group-mind, or collective unconscious, when an “inner situation” is not made concious, it is going to appear outside as “fate” just the same as for an individual. This in my opinion is the true occult (hidden) conspiracy – and all the more frightening when one realises that it is unconscious – the people living out the conspiracy are little more than zombies.
